Fat Loss Rate
Can one really speed up theĀ fat loss rate? Many people claim that fat loss is accelerated by doing regular aerobic and fitness exercises. It has been proven that exercises help in increasing your fat loss rate but to a much lesser extent than what many people think. More effective in speeding up the rate of fat loss is the diet than one is undergoing. One of the main reasons why those who exercise lose fat is not because of the exercises but because those who exercise tend to eat more healthy food than those who do not exercise.
Losing fat is not only a question of reducing the calorie intake. For those that eat way and above over the recommended daily calorie intake, it is recommended to reduce the daily calorie intake. However it is not recommended to eat less than 1700 calories per day. Doing so will reduce your body’s metabolic rate which means that your body will burn less fat than on average.
So how is the optimum fat loss rate obtained? This is usually obtained by eating several times a day (say every 3 to 4 hours). The quality of the food one eats is very important here as one cannot expect to lose weight if he/she eats a hamburger and doughnut every 3 to 4 hours. A particular diet that has been proven to help in obtaining a fast fat loss rate is the calorie shifting diet. Calorie shifting is based on the premise that when one changes calories at different meals (like for example eating dairy products for breakfast, eating a protein meal at noon, having mixed vegetables at 16:00 and having dairy products again at 20:00) the body’s metabolism cannot get used to the type of diet and the metabolic rate will increase which will increase the rate at which fat is burnt by the body.
In any case all nutritionists and weight loss specialists agree that for the best fat loss to take place once has to drink a lot of water, on the order of 2.5 to 3 litres a day. Doing so will flush away the excess toxins that might have been released during the fat burning process.
