A Review of the Lean Belly Prescription

by Guest User on April 8, 2011

We all know that having large amounts of belly fat can be a problem. Not only can it give us those ugly and embarrassing “muffin tops”, it can add pressure to our bodies and contribute to things like diabetes, coronary issues and more. There is a new book, though, titled The Lean Belly Prescription that, according to the marketing, will help you lose your muffin top while simultaneously improving your health. This book has lots of reviews already and we wanted to find out if it was superior to anything else that people are already buying so we decided to check it out.

The Lean Belly Prescription: The fast and foolproof diet and weight-loss plan from America’s top urgent-care doctor

The book can be bought through regular booksellers like Borders, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon.com. This helps lend credibility and legitimacy for the book. It additionally makes it more worth purchasing since you won’t have to worry about lots of affiliates featuring overly inflated reviews to make sure that they earn lots of commissions even if the book isn’t helpful. The book is also written by Travis Stork. You might remember him from the show “The Bachelor” or perhaps recognize him as one of the doctors on the syndicated daytime show “The Doctors.” Obviously, however, he’s more than a tv personality. He is a real medical doctor and works in the emergency room at a actual medical center.

The guide was created to showcase the Pick 3 to Lean program that Dr. Stork has developed. The Pick 3 to Lean plan can help you customize your diet and lifestyle habits but does not require you to spend hours and hours working out a gym. The plan promises to help you shed weight without having to give up any of the things you love-food, free time, etc. The strategy is focused on the N.E.A.T (or Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) principle. This theory states that it is possible to burn calories without having to work out.

From what we can tell, this book tends to make an awful lot of claims but doesn’t deliver any fresh or revelatory information. Simply put, this guide doesn’t seem to offer you anything that you will not discover by doing a couple of Google searches and using your common sense. It will even be discouraging for many who are hoping for some real reasoning behind the instructions they are given. The book doesn’t search into principle a lot. Instead it merely provides readers with a collection of outlines and instructions to follow. This is a good book for a person who enjoys being given instructions but doesn’t like to bother about why the instructions are given.

Regular reasoning tells us that the best way to lose pounds is exercise and good eating habits. This book defies that sort of reason so we don’t actually know whether or not it is going to work as well as it promises to. Of course, nowadays, if you can get your physician’s blessing (from your own doctor, not the author of the book), anything at all is worth looking at!
