The Very easily Disregarded Dangers Experienced with Some Fat reduction Supplements

by Guest User on July 5, 2011

There appears to be a constant struggle between some sectors of the weight loss industry and regulators including the FDA, Food and Drug Administration and the FTC, Federal Trade Commission. It all depends on where you look, but it is not difficult to find ads that assure to get rid of fat from the body in record time. For example, there are pills and patches apparently designed to burn and get rid of fat almost immediately, relatively speaking. You may want to remember, or know, that a great many of these products have not specifically been studied by the FDA. So far as the FTC is concerned, they have a full time job just keeping up with everything else they have to deal with. If you do plenty of your own research, you will notice that a lof so called herbal ingredients have not been studied or recognized for specific uses as advertised.

We tend to feel that it is people who are the unhealthiest and susceptible to buy these products so they can do something about their fat. For example, they see all kinds of ads for losing weight, and perhaps assume they are safe considering that they are on the shelf. It is true that a product can be introduced using components with no history of human testing to validate they are safe for consumption. Just a little research can readily confirm the presence of herbal products that are accessible yet they could pose serious consequences for certain people. Ephedra is now banned for use in the US, and that is just one high profile example of which we speak. There are other herbal plants that could have authentic uses, but the risks to people are not fully realized or recorded.

Also consider something like Phenylpropanolamine Hydro Choride which is a serious risk to some people, and yet you can Google it and find an ad to buy it. This used to be a very typical ingredient in diet pills and cold remedies about ten years ago. The usual practice is to sell these kinds of ingredients under trade names of different kinds. Yet just a few of the problems with Phenylpropanolamine is that it “could” cause problems such as anxiousness, fast heartbeat, high blood pressure, heart injury, heart attack and of course death in some instances. Even so, you can easily buy this specific ingredient on the web; we know because we have seen the ads for it. So just imagine the danger that is presented to people who have no notion about possible hazards with using it.

It is simply not possible, we think, for any agency to be totally aware of everything that occurs, and we must watch out for ourselves ultimately. Just think about the process that allows for a hazardous product to still exist and be easily bought so long after the facts are known. There just are no shortcuts with weight loss, and people need to understand that sometimes you just can’t have a fast and easy path to success. There is nothing effortless about losing a lot of weight, and that would seem to be the unhappy bottom line. It is common knowledge how to lose weight and live a healthy life, but take a look at all the solutions that are always available.
